In an effort to improve offerings to LLPOA members, the Board posted an opportunity to begin a snowplowing program at Leisure Lake. At several board and membership meetings it was announced that a plan should be implemented in caring for our road plowing situations. Discussions have been held the last couple of seasons on how we can improve in this area. A high demand has been put on volunteers to keep our roads and common areas plowed over the winter. The Board gave notice to any LLPOA member in good standing, the opportunity to submit a bid to care for the road plowing and salting.
A bid was submitted and accepted for this season of plowing and salting. This year will be a trial year to see if this program works for the betterment of the Lake. If so, it will become a yearly bid for the services of plowing and salting. The main roads and many secondary roads are the primary focus. It is extremely difficult to plow every road in its entirety, and this program does NOT include every section of every road. The map shows what areas will be plowed (and salted when necessary). Volunteers are strongly encouraged to assist in the problem areas or in times of high demand to keep our roads open and accessible.
We all need to get out and emergency vehicles need to be able to get into us. All of the roads need to be plowed and cleaned there should be no reason that they are not! NO EXCEPTION! I think this is complete BS!
