The LLPOA Board of Directors will call upon all members in good standing to discuss and vote on the following matters at the Annual Fall Members Meeting, September 13, 2020.

Vote on Dues Change in Support of Proposed Building and Grounds Projects

The Board will call upon voting members to cast a separate vote on the aforementioned dues increase to cover the cost of one, both or neither of the board’s New Community Center and Asphalt Paving proposals and recommendations.

  1. New Building Construction – Board Presentation, Discussion and Vote

    The LLPOA Board will be proposing the construction of a new year-round Community Center using funds available for that purpose and a 15-year Commercial Construction Loan. Any savings in construction costs would be used scale down the amount of the loan. Maximum loan amount would be for $120,000.

    New Community Center Vote: $50.00 Per Year Dues Increase/Proposed Complex

  2. Asphalt Paving Plan – Board Presentation, Discussion and Vote

    The LLPOA Board will be proposing a 1, 5, & 7 – year plan to asphalt pave four primary roads and five Auxiliary Roads within the lake with a 1 ½ inch Asphalt Mat. The estimated cost of paving the Asphalt Paving Plan and contingency fund is approximately $350,000.

    Primary roads to be paved:
    Gate 2 – Lakeshore Drive from 113th Ave. to Lakeview Dr.
    Gate 4 – Leisure Lake Rd to Apache. Apache to Lakeshore Dr,
    Gate 6 – Leisure Lake Rd to Lakeview Dr.
    Gate 9 – Leisure Lake Drive from Leisure Lake Rd to High St.

    Auxiliary Roads to include:
    Collins – Lakeshore Dr to Pleasant Dr.
    Cedar Street- Leisure Lake Dr. to 2019 Asphalt
    Locust Street – Leisure Lake Dr. to Lakeview Dr.
    Lakeview Dr – Lake Dr. to End of Cul de Sac.
    Daisy Street – Lakeshore Dr. to Lakeshore Dr.

    Asphalt Paving Vote: If Yes choose one of three Options on Dues Increase:

    1 Year Plan $ 1,000.00 Proposed Asphalt Paving Assessment
    5 Year Plan $ 200.00 Proposed Asphalt per Year Dues Increase
    7 Year Plan $ 150.00 Proposed Asphalt per Year Dues Increase

    The board will also request the ability to negotiate construction contract items with LLPOA members or outside contractors who are in the trades required for completion of all construction projects. All contracts, contractors, companies preforming such paid tasks must be licensed and insured. All contracts will be competitively bid; however, the board will reserve the right to reject any and all bids it deems not in the best interest of the lake. Preferential treatment will be given Member Owned Businesses or Employers.

NLV Non-Licensed Vehicles Rules, Registrations and Fees

Open Discussion of Necessary Rule Changes for the upcoming 20-21 season and future.

Open floor discussion on necessary NLV Rule Changes given the rapidly increase in NVL use within the lake. Issues discussed will be number of NVL registrations per member, NLV Registration and Renewal fees, Non-member NLV use within the lake and all other related NLV Rules and Regulations.

LLPOA Rules and Regulations (Recorded 08/07/2018)

CHANGES IN DUES STRUCTURE:  The amount and /or structure of the annual dues and/or special assessments may be changed utilizing the following procedure: (a) a proposal shall be submitted to the Board in writing.; (b) if the proposal is accepted by the Board, the Board may call a referendum; (c) a notice of the proposed change shall be provided to each member in good standing by regular mail at least thirty (30) days prior to the date that the referendum shall be held.; (d) on the date of the referendum for the proposed change, votes shall be cast by each eligible member by personally placing said vote in a ballot box; (e) all such referendums are to be held on a Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; a simple majority of the votes so cast shall decide the issue.; (f) all eligible members may request an absentee ballot, to be requested in writing to LLPOA, PO Box 8, Bernard, IA 52032, and returned by certified mail, and post marked seven (7) days prior to said voting date. Vote on NLV Rules and Regulation Changes

A discussion will be held on current NVL and Boat Rules and a vote taken on new amendments to existing rules and regulations. 

Vote on Open Board Seats Vice President Secretary Precincts: 2, 3, 4, 6 & 8
