By now you have probably noticed we have installed 6 Aireators in the lake, between the dam & the beach. A BIG thank you to everyone that was able to contribute as it was a big project! (And hot too!) If you accidentally hook one of the marker ropes we ask that you please cut your fishing line. DONT TRY TO PULL IT LOOSE! the aireator may tip over or acquire damage. THERE WILL BE A FINE IF ANYONE IS CAUGHT VANDALIZING THE AIREATORS OR THE LINE!!!! -LLPOA BOARD.

Work on the spillway and dam area has been completed.  Thanks to the membership for allowing us to finish this project while the Lake is at a very low level.  We haven't noticed any new leakage from below the spillway for almost 2 weeks now.  The flow from those problem areas has completely stopped.  Evaporation is the biggest culprit right now, and making sure our silt ponds allow new water to find its way INTO the lake.  There is a slide show below showing the completed work area.
UPDATED 11-16-11
The Lake repair work has been completed with Mainline Excavating.
We now have a solid clay berm a minimum of 7ft thick and at least 8 ft deep (much thicker and deeper in many places) that runs from the initial point near Jey's dock all along the shoreline past the spillway to where the face of the dam begins.
Mainline is a great company to work with, they did a great job for us.
THANKS to all those involved on the Lake Committee for their time and energy to make this project a reality....and to the Lake Association Members for putting their confidence & $$$'s behind it !
If we work together, much gets accomplished !
Below is a slideshow of the work that is now complete. (79 pictures)
We will continue to monitor the level of water and record this information, the best case scenario we could have, is to see an immediate rise in the level of the lake, as many people report we are still getting water IN, we are just losing too much OUT.
This slideshow is pretty easy to use....you can pause any picture or reset the timer to however many seconds you want between images.
THANKS again to all !
